OJCF Annual Celebration and Meeting: Honoring Ann and Robert Sacks

The Oregon Jewish Community Foundation is proud to honor Ann and Robert Sacks—two extraordinary individuals whose lives reflect a deep commitment to community, philanthropy, and family.

We invite you to join us in celebrating Ann and Robert at the OJCF Annual Celebration and Meeting on Monday, June 16.

Longtime Portland residents, Ann and Robert met and married while at the University of Michigan before settling in Oregon in the early 1970s. Both brought a spirit of entrepreneurship and service to everything they touched. Ann built and led multiple successful businesses, including Ann Sacks Tile and Stone, Design and Direct Source, and FETCH Eyewear—an eyewear company that donates all profits to animal welfare. Robert practiced law for 25 years before turning to real estate development, focusing on revitalizing Portland neighborhoods through family-led ventures.

Their shared dedication to giving back culminated in the founding of The Pixie Project in 2007, alongside their daughter Amy. This Portland-based nonprofit has transformed the landscape of animal welfare, facilitating over 10,000 adoptions and providing thousands of low-cost or free veterinary procedures each year. With a deep understanding of how pets and people support one another, the Pixie Project also offers vital social services to individuals and families navigating pet ownership on limited incomes.

Ann and Robert have been pillars of the Portland Jewish community, serving on numerous boards and committees, including the Jewish Federation and OJCF, where they established the Ann and Robert Sacks Family Fund.

Above all, Ann and Robert are proud parents to David (married to Lesley) and Amy, and devoted grandparents to Elizabeth and Albert. Their work—whether in business, philanthropy, or community—is a testament to the values of community, generosity, compassion, and family.

We invite you to join us in honoring and celebrating Ann and Robert Sacks at the OJCF Annual Celebration and Meeting.
