How it Works

Qualified organizations are invited to apply for grants via our Grants Portal.

Each grant program has its own timeline and application.

Applications are reviewed by community members or Donor Advised Fund holders.

Grants are recommended and awarded to selected organizations.

OJCF Grant Programs

OJCF Community Endowment Fund

Through this flexible fund, OJCF supports essential and impactful Jewish and secular organizations and initiatives in Oregon and SW Washington.

Oregon Jewish Community Youth Foundation

Members of OJCYF, with the support of  donors and the Community Endowment Fund, are committed to uplifting the residents of Oregon and SW Washington through fiscal support. Gifts are made to Jewish and secular organizations.

Leonard and Lois Schnitzer Charitable Supporting Foundation of OJCF

This supporting foundation prioritizes local Jewish projects that address: Jewish social welfare and health; Jewish community building and development; Jewish education, culture, and arts. Second priority is given to other projects that: Represent an innovative start-up effort; Promote collaboration without duplicating services; Serve a broad segment of the entire community.

Helen & Jerry Stern Grandchildren’s Fund of OJCF

Honoring Helen and Jerry Stern’s legacy,  this fund is dedicated to giving back by empowering people and organizations to build a stronger and more vibrant Jewish community in Oregon.

Robison Foundation for Jewish Elders

The Robison Foundation for Jewish Elders funds programs that enhance the lives of elders in the Jewish community of Greater Portland and SW Washington by supporting their social, spiritual, and physical well-being.

ChikChok (“fast-track”) grants to fund programs for elders on the Cedar Sinai Park campus that are currently being offered or were offered in the past and can be sustained or revived.

Weitz Family Lunch and Learn Fund

The Weitz Family Lunch and Learn fund is accepting grant applications to support kosher lunch and learn Torah study for groups of passionate and curious community members that are yearning for learning.
