Giving Circles
Giving circles are a growing global movement with more than 2,500 active circles around the world giving intentionally and thoughtfully.
OJCF’s Giving Circles are based on the belief that you don’t need to be wealthy to create meaningful change. By coming together, we demonstrate the power of collective giving—showing that individual contributions can lead to significant community impact.

How It Works

A Giving Circle is made up of people with shared values.

The group pools their philanthropic dollars together to multiply their impact. OJCF provides seed funds to grow each granting pool.

Over a series of meetings supported by OJCF staff, the group collectively discusses opportunities and researches organizations.

At the end of the process, the group makes a pooled gift to a mutually agreed-upon organization.

Participants multiply their impact and knowledge, have fun, and connect with their local community.

Interested in partnering on a giving Circle?
When OJCF partners on a giving circle, funds from our Community Endowment Fund supplement the giving pool. We collaborate with organizations and coordinate groups of individuals.
