Resources to Support Israel
Resources for donors who want to support organizations providing critical services on the ground in Israel
The Oregon Jewish Community Foundation hopes that the announcement of a cease-fire between Israel and Iran is a step on the path toward lasting peace in the Middle East.
The cease-fire, though, does not reduce the need for critical services and care in Israel. Many continue to grapple with the collective and individual trauma of 21 months of conflict. First responders, mental and health care providers, and supporting institutions continue to work diligently to care for those impacted by conflict.
Jewish tradition teaches, “Kol Yisrael arevim zeh bazeh”, that we are all collectively responsible for each other. For donors who want to support organizations providing critical services on the ground in Israel, the following is a list of some of the organizations providing these services.
Emergency Campaigns
- Jewish Federation of Greater Portland — During these challenging times in Israel, the Jewish Federation continues to support needed social services and rebuilding efforts throughout the country. 100% of any contribution to the Jewish Federation directed to Israel will be used for these purposes.
